If using espresso coffee, prepare your espresso shot/s, then add in the cocoa powder and whisk until combined and smooth.Set aside to cool slightly before making the milkshakes.
Put the ice cream, milk, and the coffee/cocoa mixture into a blender jug, and blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses, and top with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder, if you like.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Ice Cream - Instead of chocolate ice cream, you could use vanilla, coffee, or any other complementary flavour. If not using chocolate ice cream, you can increase the cocoa powder slightly for more chocolate flavour, and if using coffee ice cream, you may want to reduce the coffee amount slightly.Coffee - The amount of coffee can be adjusted depending on how much of a coffee kick you want in your milkshake. To make the mocha milkshakes dairy free or vegan, use a dairy free/vegan ice cream and non-dairy milk.Milkshake consistency - To make the milkshake thicker, use more ice cream; to make it thinner, add more milk.
