Simple Milk Chocolate Mousse

Simple Milk Chocolate Mousse

no eggs! no gelatine!

This light, fluffy milk chocolate mousse is so easy to make with just 3 ingredients!

A super simple dessert recipe that uses no eggs or gelatine, and can be made ahead of time – perfect for parties!

Start by chopping the milk chocolate into small pieces. The smaller they are, the quicker they will melt.

Heat half of the whipping cream in a small saucepan until just beginning to bubble around the edges.

Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and leave it to sit for 2-3 minutes to melt. Add a pinch of salt if you like.

Whisk until the chocolate has melted completely, then whisk in the remaining half of the cream and the vanilla extract.

Whip with an electric mixer just until peaks form. Be careful not to over-whip or the mousse will become grainy.

Spoon or pipe into serving glasses, and top the mousse with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if you like.

The mousse will keep well for 2-3 days in the fridge, making it the perfect make-ahead dessert recipe!
