Easy Nutella Mousse

This creamy Nutella chocolate mousse is easy to make, and can be served with a decadent Nutella ganache, or a simple swirl of whipped cream.

You only need 3 ingredients, Nutella, milk chocolate and cream (+ 2 optional ones, if you like).

To make the mousse, chop the milk chocolate and put it into a heatproof bowl along with the Nutella.

Heat half of the cream to just below boiling, pour it over the chocolate and Nutella, and allow them to melt for a few minutes before whisking until smooth.

Whisk in the remaining cream and the hazelnut extract (if using), then chill the mixture until very cold.

Whip the mousse mixture until thickened and peaks begin to form. Be careful not to overwhip it, or it will become grainy.

Pipe or spoon the mousse into serving glasses and chill. I served half of them with a glossy Nutella ganache...

... and the other half with a simple swirl of lightly sweetened whipped cream. A sprinkle of chopped hazelnuts topped them all off nicely.
